Robert Lincoln O'Brien has been relieved of all routine responsibility in connection with the Boston Herald, of which he has been editor for eighteen years, but will remain with the institution in an advisory capacity and as president of the company. The change became effective July 1. He attended the Williamstown Institute of Politics in August, and was later in the West studying the out- come of the presidential campaign, which he has been reporting in a series of letters to the Herald. He was to speak in Hanover on "Journalism as a Career" on October 30.
