Brown Game Week-end
December, 1928

The fraternity house parties held over the Brown week-end were the best attended fall parties since the present senior class has been in college. Four hundred and forty-two guests came to 21 fraternity parties. The fraternities in most cases combined for dances, although several fraternities were blessed with so many girls that their parties were given alone. The popularity of the dances marks a rapid rise from three years ago when not more than two or three fraternities were holding dances at this time of the year.

Varsity and freshman football games, and a soccer game with Brown were the athletic attractions. A concert by the Brown University Band and the Players' production of "The Barker" were other features.

Palaeopitus held a luncheon for its past and present members in the Grill of College Hall during the week-end as part of their new plan of having such a meeting every year to talk over plans and ideas for the future.

At the meeting, presided over by C. B. Spaeth '29, president of Palaeopitus, E. K. Hall '92, donor of Dick's House, spoke as the representative of the alumni members and A. C. Bertch '29 for the undergraduates. Mr. Hall talked briefly on the origin of Palaeopitus and the purpose for which it was founded.

A general discussion followed the luncheon in which suggestions for the improvement of the organization and plans for this year were offered by the former members.
