Upon recommendation of the Faculty Committee on Fellowships and Graduate Instruction, the following men have been awarded fellowships for the academic year 1928-29:
T. H. Werner '25 was selected for the Henry Elijah Parker Fellowship last year and has again been chosen for the award. His home is in West Hartford, Connecticut, and he prepared for Dartmouth at the West Hartford High School.
M. E. Choukas '27 was again reappointed to the Fred De Merritte Barker Fellowship, which he received last year. Choukas home was originally in Greece.
The William Jewett Tucker Fellowship of $1000, which is offered through the medium of the Dartmouth College Alumni Fund and is awarded by President Hopkins, was again given to John Hough '27, of New York City. Hough came to Dartmouth from Exeter and is now doing graduate work .at Princeton.
William A. Hunt '2B of West Hartford, Connecticut, was awarded the. George E. Chamberlin Fellowship.
This year the James B. Richardson Fellowship was divided between two men: Rowland M. Myers '2B of Brooklyn, New York, and Henry W. Scherp '2B of Dalton, Massachusetts.
The Charles O. Miller, Jr. Memorial Fellowship, which is awarded on a basis similar to that of the Rhodes scholarships, was given to G. W. Wheland '2B of North Chattanooga, Tennessee.
