PRESIDENT HOPKINS RECEIVES HONORARY HARVARD DEGREE

At the recent Commencement at Harvard University President Hopkins received the degree of Doctor of Laws. In bestowing the degree President Lowell used the following characterization:

"Ernest Martin Hopkins, president of Dartmouth College, under whose guidance it has grown in fame and been impressed by his own striking personality."

Pres. Hopkins spoke at the meeting of the Harvard Alumni Association, following the awarding of degrees. Other speakers were Gov. Alvin T. Fuller of Massachusetts, Dwight W. Morrow, Ambassador to Mexico, Alfred E. Stearns, Principal of Phillips Andover Academy, and Pres. A. Lawrence Lowell of Harvard.
