New Stadium Record
NOVEMBER 1929

A new record has been established this year for ticket applications for the annual Harvard-Dartmouth football game. More requests for tickets for this game came to the athletic offices of the two colleges than ever before in the history of Harvard-Dartmouth football. Shortly before the game over 62,500 applications were received. The Harvard stadium, when filled to capacity, holds slightly more than 57,000 people. As students and alumni only have the privilege of applying for tickets, it was estimated that if the general public were allowed to make applications the total demand would have exceeded the 100,000 mark. According to figures at Cambridge, at least 2000 Dartmouth adherents were disappointed in their ticket requests.
