FEBRUARY 1929

During the month there appeared in chapel on successive Sundays Henry Hallam Tweedy, professor of Homiletics at the Yale Divinity School, and John Thompson Dallas, Bishop of New Hampshire. Dr. Tweedy is one of the best known college preachers in the eastern part of America and is a graduate of Yale University and the Union Theological Seminary of New York City. John Dallas, as he is still known in Hanover in spite of his "The Right Reverend," is a figure well remembered by the generation which has just left college. He had the rectorship of the local St. Thomas Church from 1920 to the fall of the year the present senior class entered college. Bishop Dallas, coincidently a graduate of the same institutions from which Dr. Tweedy was graduated, has received the degree of Doctor of Divinity from both Dartmouth and Norwich University.
