Eric Kelly has been making the rounds of some of our public libraries and bookshops this winter, reading from his book, "The Trumpeter of Krakow," and telling the story of that interesting Polish city in the Middle Ages. He has spoken at the New York Public Library, the Harper Bookshop in New York, the Cleveland Public Library, Main Building and Broadway branches, the Bookshop for Boys and Girls in Boston, the Buffalo Polish Library, St. Francis College, N. Y., Hutchinson High School, Buffalo, the National Alliance College at Cambridge Springs, Pa., and broadcasted a talk on Poland from the Chamber of Commerce Bldg., Buffalo. The mayor and city council of Krakow recently voted to send a mediaeval trumoet to America for exhibition purposes. This trumpet has been used for centuries in •sounding the Heynal from the tower of the Church of Our Lady in Krakow. With pictures from Eric's book, it has been on exhibition in the places named above, and goes this month and next to Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, and Newark, N. J., returning to the Boston Public Library in April or May. _ .
