Last month your Secretary must have been as busy as the rest of the class, for he failed to write any notes for these pages. He is still busy—but the receipt of a post-card from Ken Tucker gives him something to report.
Ken writes from London, where he is on a six weeks' trip to the English factory of Stanley and Stanley, Inc. He "is enjoying many interesting details connected with the trip outside of the business features," which, he hastily adds, in themselves are very enjoyable. Since January first, Ken has been sales manager and member of Stanley and Stanley, Inc., an English leather goods manufacturing concern.
A week ago we ran into Ed Kirkland in one of the local barber shops. Ed is a professor in history here at Brown, has a three-year-old son, and a farm at Thetford, Vt., where he spends his summers.
Since reporting Barrett Studley's book, "Practical Flight Training," we have received a letter from him. Stud is senior aviation officer on the battleship New Mexico, flagship of Division Four of the Battle Fleet. To quote: "I have an aviation unit of three planes, four officers, and a division of mechanics. We operate from catapults when the ship is at sea, having two catapults, one compressed air and one smokeless powder." Last year he went to Hawaii for six weeks with the Fleet, and this winter he went to the Canal Zone. Stud sends his best regards to the class, and, next best, says that he has just sent in his class dues to Perc.
Secretary, 646 Angell St., Providence, It. I.
