The Canoe Club

Spring activities of the Canoe Club have included a number of feeds at Chase and Johnnie Johnson cabins and a trip down the rapids of White River. The club has also revived the Ledyard cruise to the sea for the first time since 1925, as well as the trip from Cole Brook to Wells River, which covers a distance of about 90 miles and takes two days. This will probably be the last time that this trip will be offered due to the new dam which is being erected at the foot of the 20- mile rapids just above Wells River.
