Some day the Round Table will not surprise us when they announce as their next speakers Texas Guinan and A 1 Capone. Their lecturers always bring atmosphere if nothing else. The most recent was Jack Black, one time hobo, thief, dope-fiend, jail-bird, burglar, convict and stickup man. Speaking on "Prison Reform" Mr. Black told us much of what we already knew but proved interesting because he represented actuality instead of a text book. His talk stressed the dangers of the slums on youthful character, the hopelessness of present prison reform, and the difficulty facing the criminal when he is released from prison.
