PHILADELPHIA ASSOCIATION
DECEMBER 1930 H. Davidson

The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia has been holding weekly luncheons each Thursday at Boothby's, 116 South 13th St. The luncheons have been better attended this year than ever before, due possibly to the fact that the luncheon committee headed by Bruce Ludgate has arranged for a speaker at each of these luncheons. The first few talks were given by members of our own association, and the orators were none other than Dinny Gardner and Les Haws, both of whom gave us some inside dope on the football team. Another speaker was Earl Eby, former University of Pennsylvania track captain and Olympic quarter mile champion. Several other prominent members of the sport world are listed for future luncheons, and it is hoped that the very good attendance of the first few weeks will continue throughout the remainder of the year. All Dartmouth men in Philadelphia on Thursdays are cordially invited to lunch with us. Luncheon is served at 12:15.
