Bishop Dallas, on a recent visit to Hanover for a sermon at St. Thomas' Church and two lectures to College audiences, said:

"I do not advocate co-education at Dartmouth, but I do think that it would be a good thing to discover some way of creating a more normal social life in the college community."

"The religion at Dartmouth compares favorably with that in other colleges in the East."

"I have always felt that Hanover wss the most wholesome community I have ever lived in. The moral problems here are only such as would be found in any community where a lot of men are herded together. In the main, the fraternities and societies take a healthy and helpful interest in the character of their men and in the influence of their men on the campus."
