Gift of H. C. Davis '06
MARCH 1930

It has been announced by President Hopkins and Prof. H. It. Heneage, supervisor of athletics, that Mr. H. C. Davis '06, is the donor of the new hockey rink which was dedicated February 8 at the occasion of the Carnival game with Harvard. Mr. Davis, who proffered funds to the amount of $60,000 to the trustees last fall for the erection of a natural ice hockey rink, wished that his name be temporarily withheld in connection with naming the donor of the rink. As a feature of the dedicatory exercises it was announced that Mr. Davis had made the gift and that he would be present atthededication.

The Davis Field House and a gift of $10,000 to pay off the last two payments on the mortgage of the Alumni Gymnasium, combine with this latest gift to make Mr. Davis one of the College's generous benefactors. His gifts have been intelligently made and have, in each case, filled a great need of the College.
