The Dartmouth College Concert Series for next year, as announced this month by Prof. M. F. Longhurst of the Department of Music, includes five fiirst-rank concerts instead of the usual number of four and is considered the best series that has ever been presented to the students and the townspeople here. All this has come without any increase over the usual ticket cost of five dollars for the season.
The five concerts will be given by the Detroit Symphony orchestra, personally conducted by its director contrary to its usual practice when on tour; Florence Austral, soprano, on a joint program with Amatio, flautist; Efrem Zimbalist, violinist; theKedroff Quartet, "the most wonderful vocal phenomenon in the musical world today"; and the famed London String Quartet.
