"Go-to-College Days" have previously been a subject of discussion in Council meetings. In reporting on the work of this committee Mr. Richards said that Dartmouth had been represented at the majority of "College Choosing Days" which had been held this spring at New England secondary schools. He said that members of the Council to whom the responsibility for securing representation at these events for the College is assigned did not find it possible in most cases to personally represent the College. Owing to the lack of current information in which secondary school students are particularly interested and in many cases not being able to give the necessary time, the councilors had either appointed delegates themselves or had requested the secretary to do this. Mr. Richards' report recommended that in the future when requests come to the College to send representatives to "Go-to-College Days" that these requests be first turned over to the secretary; that he then communicate with a councilor in the district where the meeting is to be held; that the councilor, if possible, secure one of the younger alumni living in the vicinity of the school; and that if the councilor still wishes he should request the secretary to secure a younger alumnus to take on the assignment.
