Hardison, Hill, McCutcheon, Piper, and Tripp had lunch together at the University Club, Boston, November IS.

Dr. and Mrs. Hill will spend the winter in Pasadena, Cal. Hill's time will be given to research in the Huntington Library.

Hay is located for the winter at Aiken, S. C.

Mrs. William H. Gardiner with her daughter recently made the bus trip from Los Angeles to Seattle to visit her son, William H. Gardiner, engineer in charge of construction on the Diablo Dam.

Dr. John E. Pratt, for thirty-five years a resident of Dumont, N. J., was granted a celebration on his eightieth birthday, November 11. Many attended, family and friends. Dr. Pratt's descendants include greatgrandchildren, two of whom were present to do him honor.

McCutcheon and Merrill had Thanksgiving dinner together at Merrill's home in Cambridge, Mass.

Recent correspondence suggests what a pleasure it would be to stand with Stimmy beside his blossoming beds of roses at La Jolla, Cal., with Woods on his irrigated domain at La Habra, with Peabody at Pasadena, and with Hunt at Riverside.
