CLASS of 1902
Arba Irvin became a grandfather on April 14, when a son was born to his daughter. Arba has a son in the freshman class at Dartmouth. He is not the first grandfather by any means in the class.
A daughter, Mary Stevens, was born to Dr. and Mrs. Burr R. Whitcher on May 20, 1931.
A daughter, Jacqueline Bentley, was born to Mr. and Mrs. John W. Cannell on June 24, 1931.
On July 9 Robert Cushman Clark, state commissioner of banking and insurance for Vermont, was married at Bethany Congregational church, Montpelier, to Mrs. Jessie A. Watkins, daughter of Mrs. Mary J. Anderson of Montpelier, and for some years chief clerk in the office of the commissioner. After a wedding trip which included the White Mountains and the New Hampshire beaches, Mr. and Mrs. Clark took up their abode at 147 A Main St., Montpelier.
