ONE OF THE group of Dartmouth's youngest alumni was awarded a special fellowship by the trustees last June. He is H. S. Buxbaum of Newton Centre, Massachusetts. Mr. Buxbaum is spending this year in Hanover preparing himself for a writing career and particularly for the composition of a novel on which he is no w working. His answer to William Harlan Hale's denunciation of the college as an educational institution is his first contribution in what is hoped will be a line of many more in the MAGAZINE.

PBOFESSOR FREDERICK S. PAGE came to Dartmouth in 1915 following the completion of a year of graduate work at the University of Vermont which in turn was preceded by four years at Dartmouth. He was promoted to an assistant professorship in biology in 1921 and in June he was given the rank of full professor. The story of the College Park is told by an authority on biological and botanical subjects.

SEYMOUR B. DUNN is a member of the sophomore class. He is chairman of the committee on publicity of the Dartmouth Outing Club and will be a frequent contributor to the MAGAZINE in recounting the development of the D. O. C. throughout the year. His home is in Cortland, New York.
