Stanford Game Party
NOVEMBER 1931

The interest and activity of the Boston Alumni Association for the year is being focussed on the celebrations accompanying the Dartmouth-Stanford game, which will take place in the Harvard Stadium on Saturday, November 28. Under the leadership of Allan L. Priddy '15, president of the Boston Association, the season's program is being shaped around this game as the focal point. The program includes the annual meeting and dinner of the Association Friday evening, informal class reunions Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, the game on Saturday, and an elaborate dinner dance in the Empire Ballroom of the Hotel Statler Saturday night.

Advance plans for the dinner Friday evening indicate a program of originality and great intrinsic interest. President Ray Lyman Wilbur of Leland-Stanford University will be the guest speaker. E. K. Hall '92, chairman of the Intercollegiate Footbal Rules Committee, will represent the athletic interest appropriate to the occasion. And this meeting has been selected as the occasion for President Hopkins' annual message to the Dartmouth alumni of Boston and vicinity. The Stanford delegation will be invited to attend. Plans for the dinner indicate that hospitality will have a characteristic New England flavor.

The committee planning this Stanford-Dartmouth get-together has made two departures from the usual program of the autumn season. Celebrations organized by the Association in connection with the Harvard game have been omitted this year, although classes are encouraged separately to organize dinners on that occasion. The other change is the moving up of the annual dinner and business meeting of the Association, which is ordinarily held late in the winter, to

the Friday evening date of the Dartmouth-Stanford get-together, November 27. Opportunities for informal class reunions will be afforded Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Golfing privileges on courses in and around Boston will be made available to visiting alumni who wish to utilize them.

Following the game Saturday the Empire Ballroom of the Hotel Statler has been enson gaged for the dinner dance planned for Saturday night. Lew Conrad's 14-piece band has been engaged for this occasion.
