Professor James Mackaye is the author of "The Dynamic Universe" published by Charles Scribner's Sons. This book will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE.

The December, 1930, issue of Appalachia contains an article by Nathaniel L. Goodrich, Librarian, entitled "Old Peppersass."

New Hampshire Highways, the official monthly bulletin of the State Highway Department, for November, 1930, contains an article by Professor J. W. Goldthwait entitled "New Hampshire Roads of Former Periods." The December number contains an article by Professor Goldthwait "Old Range Roads in New Hampshire."

Professor F. Cudworth Flint is the author of "Fiction and Form'' (part of a symposium on the modern novel) which appears in the January, 1930, issue of the Symposium; a critical review; the July, 1930, issue of the same magazine contains an article by Mr. Flint "Metaphor in Contemporary Poetry." Mr. Flint also is writing occasional book reviews for the same magazine.

The January first issue of the LibraryJournal contains a bibliographical note "Creating Service" by Mr. Arnold K. Borden.

Mr. Arthur S. Dewing is the author of "Towers Scrape the Sky" in the November issue of the North American Review. The December issue contains an article by him "Limiting Sky Scrapers"; in the January, 1931, issue is an article "The City of the Future." This series of articles relates to the social, economic, and artistic aspects of the sky scraper.

Quarto Club Papers 1928: 1929 printed for the members of the Quarto Club, New York City, contains an article by Ralph Samuel '13, "The Weil-Known Name of a LittleKnown Man." This edition of the Quarto Club Papers is the third collection to be issued by the members of the Club and is very beautifully printed by William E. Rudge in a limited edition.

Robert S. Monahan '29 is the author of the following articles: "Jock Marden, Sky Line Ski Runner" an illustrated article in the December issue of Winter Sports; "Casualties on and About the Presidential Range" in the December issue of Appalachia and "Moosilauke the Winter Mountain" in the Boston Evening Transcript of December 10th.

Charles Sutherland Tapley '22 is the author of a book "Rebecca Nurse Saint but Witch Victim" published by the Marshall Jones Company, Boston.

J. W. Rogers, Jr. '16, is the author of a play "Bumblepuppy" which appears in the volume "The American Scene," edited by B. H. Clark and Kenyon Nicholson, published by D. Appleton and Company.

The December issue of the Thinker contains an article by W. Beran Wolfe '21, entitled "Sex and Modern Society."
