I had a brief sojourn from Hanover during the last few weeks in New York and Philadelphia, attending the alumni meetings of those two cities, and curiously enough the subject which was debated most fervently in the Quaker City has come to pass.
When I was in Philadelphia the alumni were all enthused about the game of squash, and deplored inadequate facilities in Hanover for this sport. No sooner than I had returned came the announcement that $80,000 had been appropriated for a new squash building, which will be a wing on the gymnasium. Room will be available for many courts and undergraduates in the future will have ample quarters for this fast indoor game.
