FROM THE SANBORN FISH COLLECTION IN WILSON HALL All are specimens of Brook Trout (Salvelinus Fontinalis) (The one on the pedestal in center) Speckled Trout is the largest in the collection and weighed 12 pounds, 2 ounces. It was taken in a Lake in northeastern Quebec during a blizzard of snow and sleet and was caught by fly casting. (On the left panel) Three taken in various lakes in Maine—Big 'Dobsis, Pierce Pond, and Belgrade. (The large panel in center of wall) Six trout caught in a lake in the northeastern part of the Province of Quebec. Taken by fly casting with one Parmachenee Belle Fly and a 5½ ounce Leonard rod. The one above was caught at the same time and the seven weighed something over 60 pounds. (Panel on right) Eight Speckled Trout. Taken in various parts of Ontario and Quebec. The average weight was from 5 to 6 pounds.
