A series of alumni dinners were arranged for the latter part of March to permit President Hopkins to visit several of the western associations. Following a trip which took him to the Boston, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Cleveland associations, and also included dinners with class agents in Boston, New York, and Chicago, President Hopkins returned to Hanover for a few days before entraining for the west. He left Hanover March 23 and addressed the alumni of Washington, D. C., at the National Press Club the following evening. The annual dinner of the "Of the Plains" association was held at the Omaha University Club April 26 when President Hopkins was the principal guest and speaker. "The Great Divide" association entertained him the following evening at the Denver University Club. His trip was concluded with an address before the St. Louis alumni April 29 at the University Club there.
Movies, as released by "Dartmouth College News," were shown at each of the dinners. More complete accounts of the meetings may be found in the "News of the Associations and Classes" section of this issue of THE MAGAZINE.
