Joe Raphael has been made attending surgeon at Kings County Hospital, one of the largest and soon will be the largest general hospital in New York city, if not in the country. Joe has well earned and merited this honor, and we are glad and happy to know that his ability has been appreciated.

The New York crowd held their annual round-up at the University Club in February. The following attended: Joe Raphael, Jack Dowd, Warren Rugg, Frank Cudworth, Ted Morehouse, Ben Greer, George Pingree, Carl Owen, Harry Gilmore, and Bunker Bishop. We understand that the two corporation presidents, Messrs. Pingree and Greer, were badly trounced by Joe and Ted, and the joy of the rest of the bunch at seeing the plutocrats downed was great indeed.

Gardy Cobb has been seen in New York and Brooklyn recently. He reported his presence in the big city to Dr. Bishop, as was proper, but his stay was short, claiming urgent cases were calling him back to his practice.

Walter Bryant and Harry Gilmore, Jr., have been elected by their classmates from the freshman class to try out for managers. They have to work hard the coming year, showing their ability and stick-to-it-iveness, so that by junior year they become assistant managers, and regular managers automatically senior year.

Ralph Hunter has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa. We hope that Joe Raphael and Ned Calderwood will let him in on some of their regular Phi Beta reunions.

Elinor Ward, at a recent Horse Show in Boston, won second, third, and fourth places in various events, with her horse Tramp. She also divided a first place with a Winchester girl in another event.
