Pre-Exam Study Period
June 1931

The experiment of allowing two or three days for study before semester examinations was continued this semester after its initial trial in January. According to a vote of the faculty, no recitations were held on Thursday and Friday, May 28 and 29, in order to provide a period of preparation for second semester examinations. Memorial Day, May 30, was a College holiday, thus effectually providing a four-day period of study before the beginning of examinations Monday. This ran concurrently with the last two days of comprehensive examinations for seniors, which were held May 25 to 29, during which time seniors were excused from attendance at recitations in order to take_ their comprehensive examinations in their major subjects.
