WEEK ENDS
June 1931

And we think we have a week-end problem! "The average number of railroad tickets sold at Princeton throughout the year is 190 a day. Commuters tickets, of which there are about 200, only appear as sold once, so that the total number of people leaving Princeton each day is close to 400. They are carried by seventeen trains to Philadelphia and sixteen trains to New York each day. Approximately 1,000 bus tickets are sold out of Princeton each month, these people being served by twelve buses to New York and an equal number to Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania Railroad has a firm grip on the transportation facilities serving Princeton, the Pennsylvania-Greyhound bus lines being under its control, not to mention the Delaware and Raritan Canal, where yachts are occasionally sighted."
