Annual Meeting of the Alumni Council

The Alumni Council met in Hanover on Friday, June 12. The following members were present: New England States Guy C. Richards '96 Arthur A. Adams '94 Carl F. Carter '10 For the Faculty Craven Laycock '96 Elected by Class Secretaries Allan M. Cate '2O John R. Burleigh 'l4 Members by Virtue of Official Relation to theAlumni Philip S Marden '94 Sidney C. Hayward '26 Lemuel G. Hodgkins 'OO Elected by the Council William J. Minsch 'O7 Arba J. Irvin 'O2 Frederic H. Leggett '9B Wright Hugus 'l3 John W. Pearson 'll Former councilors also in attendance in- cluded D. J. Main 'O4 of Denver and C. C. Hills 'O5 of Norwich, Vermont. Announcement of balloting for election of new councilors was made as follows: New England States Arthur H. Ruggles 'O2 Middle and Southern States Warren F. Kimball 'll Central States John R. Childs 'O9 Western States Paul W. Loudon 'l4 Rocky Mountain and Pacific States Robert E. More 'l3 F. H. Leggett '9B, president of the Council called for a report of the nominating commit- tee on the question of the election of an alumni trustee. Following discussion a ballot was taken and William W. Grant 'O3 was declared elected as the nominee of the alumni to the board of trustees to fill the vacancy caused by the election of John R. McLane 'O7 as life trustee.
