Previous to adjournment Mr. Leggett extended to the members of the Council an invitation in behalf of President and Mrs. Hopkins to attend a dinner in honor of the Council at the President's house immediately following the business session. The Council adjourned to the President's house where it was privileged to listen to President Hopkins, following dinner there. A vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Hopkins for her kind hospitality to the Council.
Preceding President Hopkins' talk to the Council, Professor William Patten gave an interesting summary of his work in sponsoring and carrying through the freshman course in evolution. Following his talk, the President addressed the Council informally and as usual his remarks constituted the most enjoyable part of the Council program for its annual June meeting.
