Class of 1877

The only news this month (except as given in the Necrology) is about children and grandchildren of the class. David Adams (made a D.D. at Commencement) leaves his pastorate and college teaching at Marietta, Ohio, to join the faculty of Mt. Holyoke College, South Hadley, Mass. Rev. Wilfred A. Rowell, D.D., son of John A. of our class, is scheduled to preach the annual sermon at the meeting of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions at Montclair, N. J., October 18. Dr. Rowell is a Congregational pastor at Hinsdale, Ill. And the third grandchild of '77 to enter Dartmouth made his appearance this fall—Nelson P. Brown Jr., son of Judge Nelson P. Brown '99 and grandson of our George A. Brown.
