In another section of the MAGAZINE appears a brief sketch of Pitt Drew's life. His death on September 13 following are illness of almost a year has taken one of our best known and most loyal classmates. The funeral at the Newtonville, Mass., home was attended by twenty-one representatives of Ninety-Nine, comprising fifteen men and six of the wives.

Last summer Joe and Elsie Hobbs took several short auto trips through Connecticut, the Berkshires, Vermont, and New Hampshire. On one jaunt Fred Locke accompanied Joe to York Beach and other of their boyhood haunts.

Bill Colbert is again in Portsmouth, N. H., after a considerable stay in Washington, D. C.

Dan and Mrs. Ford return this fall to Sarasota, Fla., after spending the summer months in Des Moines, lowa.

Last June Harry and Mrs. Wason attended the graduation of Lloyd front Sewanee Military Academy in Tennessee, afterward visiting their old home in Atlanta for a few days.

Jerome Eastman, Walter Eastman's son, has been elected president of his fraternity at Norwich University, Delta Sigma Tau.

Mrs. Foss, widow of Walter, recently called on Arthur and Mrs. Kimball at their Pasadena home.

Among items of interest connected with the Ninety-Nine tour of Vermont last August are the following not previously reported:

Dr. Asakawa was one of the party at Plymouth.

Weary Wardle is now chief engineer of the Consolidated Paper Company, which has five paper producing plants in eastern Canada. Rosemary Wardle is a senior this fall at Mt. Holyoke. She has been on the debating team for two years, and is also a member of the national debating society, Rho Kappa Sigma. Gratia Wardle is cap tain of the soccer team at her college.

Clarence Joy became a grandfather on July 13 last, through the birth of a son to his daughter, Pauline Joy Plumb, who lives in Malone, N. Y.

Announcement is made of the engagement of Miss Hannah Hyatt, daughter of Will and Mrs. Jessica Hyatt, to Dr. Frank F. Thweatt Jr. of Petersburg, Va. Miss Hyatt received her A.B. degree from Wheaton College and her Master's degree from Wellesley. At the present time she is assistant in the English department at Wheaton.

Five '99 boys entered Dartmouth this fall: Louis Paul Benezet Jr., Nelson Pierce Brown Jr., John Gage Greenwood, Stanley Goddard Walker, and Myron Clark, George Clark's cousin from lowa.
