CLASS OF 1903
MARCH 1932 Dr. Edward K. Burbeck

A group of five '03 men attended the New York alumni dinner on the 28th of January, and my correspondent reports all five as "appearing and acting prosperous, happy and heavier than ever before." The "heavier than ever before" description might be all right for "Kid" Cohen and Harold Hess, but think of Ray Brown adding greater avoirdupois! "Balz" French's task as class agent precludes any increase in weight, but the "prosperous and happy" description just fits him. Lewis Haney, the fifth member of the "gang," has been making his name as a leader in his line of effort and doubtless fills the description in entirety. The dinner was well attended, the food fine, and although "Hoppie" could not be present a real Dartmouth atmosphere prevailed.

Ray Brown reports that "Mike" Dunn has recently been waging a battle with the pneumonia germ, but that he has won out and is on the road to recovery. Congratulations from the class, "Mike."

Harold Hess has a boy, now thirteen years old, who has a definite urge to become a Dartmouth student. Methinks that if he becomes as good a scholar as his dad, he'll be in Hanover before many years.

Roy F. Bergengren of the Credit Union National Extension Bureau was one of the speakers at the Credit Union's meeting held in Boston a short time ago.

"Freddie" Brown, ex-governor, has been looming large in the Democratic success of the recent congressional election in New Hampshire.
