Ernest L. Brown of Wakefield, Mass., writes that after a one-sided bout with "Old Man Winter," he is still holding onto the ropes with a sort of hope that summer will come again and that "Kilton Cabin" at Grafton, N. H., will once more give him a welcome. The optimist always wins.
One of our classmates, C. Frank Morrison of the Alpine Press of Boston, whom we haven't seen since the days of the dinners the night before the Harvard games—Boston City Club days, writes that he may join us this year at the 5-Year-Class Dinner. Frank has been with the Alpine Press for about 15 years and now resides with his wife, Marie, at 21 Wendell St., Cambridge, Mass. A warm welcome awaits you, Frank, and we promise you a real Dartmouth reunion of the men you used to meet on the campus at Hanover.
Andrew Jackson of Washington, D. C., is reported as having registered at Hanover Inn on January 22.
Up in the Yosemite National Park where Bill MacLennan and his wife spent the most of last winter there stood a snow sculpture labeled "Kilroy Was Here," the artistic effort of our own Bill. Artistry is rampant in this family for Mrs. MacLennan is a painter of recognized ability, while Bill's efforts even tho not durable have been preserved for future adoration by means of the camera.
Ned Kenerson has long been interested in the work of the Winchester Hospital, Winchester, Mass., and has served on its Board of Directors for several years. At present, there is an effort being made to raise a large sum of money for the enlargement of the hospital, and Ned is one of the active workers to accomplish the purpose.
Dr. Arthur P. Noyes of the State Hospital at Norristown, Pa., has, within the past year, published through Macmillan Cos. the fourth edition of a book written in collaboration with a nurse entitled Textbook of PsychiatricNursing, and a third edition of his own work Modern Clinical Psychiatry is now in press. Aside from these little tasks, Arthur is superintendent of a hospital of over 4,300 patients with a serious shortage of nurses and attendants.
