The appointment of Judge Charles H. Donahue '99 to the Supreme Court of Massachusetts has brought widespread editorial approbation throughout New England for Governor Ely's choice. His appointment to the Superior Court in 1924 elicited much public approval and now Governor Ely is receiving congratulations from the press and from individuals for the wisdom of his choice in naming Judge Donahue Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Massachusetts, nationally respected as a state court of the highest calibre.

As former secretary of the class of 1899 Judge Donahue set a high standard for all class secretaries to follow. He has been a leader in Dartmouth activity in Boston and is one of the most widely known alumni of the College in New England.
