In the outstanding match of the season, the Dartmouth lacrosse team pulled a sensational victory out of the fire by scoring on Harvard in the first period and holding the one goal lead throughout the game. Harry Litzenberger, the football end, was the man who made the goal and gave the Crimson its first defeat of the season. Jack Pyles, another football player, was the star on defense throughout and played an impressive game which kept 1500 spectators on edge.

Babe Shea, in the Dartmouth goal, was called upon to make many sensational stops, and Myerson of Harvard was the chief Crimson threat. It is unusual to play a 1-0 lacrosse game, and the Green turned in a great performance.
