REUNION

Twenty-three members of the class of 1893 went back to Hanover for the fortyyear class reunion, June 17-20, many accompanied by their wives and children. Those present at some time during the reunion period were Aborn, Bowers, Chadbourne, Chandler and his wife, Cox and his wife, Dodge and his wife, Fernald and his wife, son, and sister-in-law, C. A. French, wife and daughter, Greeley and his wife, Gustin and his wife, Hunt and his wife, Kinney and his wife, Griffith, Mann, Metcalf and daughter, E. S. Miller, Russell, Weston, Woodbury, wife and two daughters, Wright and his bride, Mason, Martyn, wife and son. Sam French was not present, but sent some very beautiful flowers from his greenhouses to decorate the banquet tables.

On Sunday, a party of thirty enjoyed an outing arranged by Kinney at Loch Lyme Lodge. A very fine dinner was served with the "Deacon" as the host, and in spite of the rain which poured nearly all day, everybody had a splendid time at this delightful spot.

The class banquet was held Monday evening at the Commons. President Guy Cox officiated after a delicious menu had been served, and called upon all the class members present for brief remarks. Sam Hunt made a particularly brilliant address, full of humor, and Chappy Martyn put his usual enthusiasm into his interesting speech. It was voted to send telegrams of greeting to Gordon, Abbott, Penniman, and the Secretary, who were detained by illness from attending the reunion.

Rufus Baker, spending the summer at his seaside estate on the Massachusetts South Shore, reports a call from Mr. and Mrs. Aborn. Rufus expects to be in Concord this winter.

A special writer in the Worcester, Mass., Telegram prints a picture of Caswell in connection with an article on Milford, Mass., schools and gives the veteran superintendent appreciative mention. .

During Walter Cox Week on the Grand Circuit at Rockingham Park, President Guy Cox and Mrs. Cox entertained Walter and his wife at Chichester Brook Farm, Pittsfield.

Harry Metcalf is president of the New Hampshire association of printers and publishers formed under the NRA code and is the chairman of the local NRA board at Newport.

Professor Perley O. Place was Commencement Week marshal at Syracuse University.

A feature of Old Home Day in Surry was the dedication of a new library building, erected by a building committee of which Stillings was chairman.

Mason's new address is 1 Washington Ave., White Plains, N. Y. W. W. Smith's business address is 229-1-2 South Broadway and his residence, 403 4th Ave., both in Rochester, Minn.

Members of the class who were acquainted with the treasures contained in the Jarvis family homestead at West Claremont regretted to hear of the destruction of the house by fire, this summer, and the loss of most of its contents. Sam Hunt is a member of the NRA education committee for the city of Manchester.

Billy Mann was one of the committee in charge of the 200 th anniversary celebration of the towns of Boscawen and Webster in August. "Squash" Little '9l was president of the day.
