Did you read this interesting article about John Engelman in Dartmouth Life? As you may know, John, otherwise known as "Papa" to his Alpha Delta brothers, is the alumni coordinator at Dartmouth and the son of Mary and our late classmate Bob Engelman. He is also president of the AD Corp., which makes him head of the legal entity that owns the house and property and he helps the fraternity maintain its physical plant, so it continues to be a safe, healthy and comfortable place to live.

It is now Olympic time but too early to tell the winner. Did you know that of the 29 Ivy Leaguers competing in the Olympics, 14 were from Dartmouth—which sets a record for the most Olympians by a single Ivy school at a single winter games. These 14 were made up as follows:

• Six in women's hockey—three representing Canada; two, the United States; and one, Switzerland. (We had men's hockey players as Olympians in past Olympics, but not this time.)

• Three in men's alpine skiing—one representing Canada; one, Australia; and one, the United States.

• Two in women's alpine skiing—both for the United States.

• One in men's cross-country skiing—for the United States.

• Two in women's cross country or biathlon—both for the United States.

Dartmouth is keeping up with diversity!

With sadness we regret to report the deaths of our classmate Len Harrison s wife, Jean, who passed away after a long illness, and "Chuck" Rolfe and Bernard Loveman. We extend our sympathy to their families.
