On September 24, James Hinds died at his home in Winchester, Mass., after an illness of several months. Hinds entered with us in '88, but dropped out in his sophomore year. He was born in Winchester, and thirty-nine years ago returned there as town engineer and held that position up to the time of his death. He must have played an important part in the development of one of the most beautiful suburban towns in the Boston district. A fuller notice will be found in the Necrology.
Vermont has a Commission on Education. This has been appointed to make an exhaustive study of Vermont's educational problems and to report to the 1935 legislature. Our interest in this matter lies in the fact that Bliss has been appointed executive secretary. No doubt Bliss will enjoy the work and the State is certainly fortunate in getting him.
