Class Agent, WILLIAM F. GEIGER North Thetford, Vt.
The Alumni Fund number of the MAGAZINE gives '92 a chance again to "point with pride." No doubt Geiger will lead us to an equally good showing in '49.
A letter from Geiger dated December 28 brings the news that Mrs. Hall was then in Dick's House recovering from a surgical operation. We realize that this must have been doubly hard for her as she had to miss the wedding of her granddaughter, Sally Drew Leavitt, who was married December 28 to Edward Rice Cheney at Saxtons River, Vt., where the Leavitts preside over Vermont Academy.
Late in December Emelie Porter Shurtleff, widow of Merrill Shurtleff, died at her home in Lancaster, N. H., after a long illness. She was a loyal supporter of the Class and the College and was sincerely missed at our Fifty-fifth.
Lillian Hanna Baldwin, widow of SamBaldwin, died December 27 at Cleveland, Ohio. She was ninety-six years old and had filled those years with a wide participation in the social and charitable activities of Cleveland.
