A large engraving of "The Last Days of Webster at Marshfield" has come to the College by gift of Miss Millicent Backus Ailing of Rochester, N. Y. The gift is made in memory of Miss Alling's brother, Kenneth J. Ailing. Miss Ailing is a cousin of Prof. James MacKaye of the Dartmouth faculty.
The engraving was made by C. Mottram and is based on the Webster deathbed scene as painted by Joseph Ames. A key giving the names of those in the group accompanies the framed picture.
