Dartmouth's new non-fraternity club has adopted for its name "The Bema." Approximately 100 members have joined the new organization to date, and social headquarters have been established in the old Dragon tomb on College Street. Prof. William A. Eddy, of the English department, is faculty sponsor for the club.

The Bema has been established as a club where students who did not join fraternities for financial or other reasons could fill in the gap in their campus social life. Membership is unrestricted among the three upper classes and very nominal dues are charged. Members may withdraw at any time to join fraternities. The new club is now engaging in intramural athletics, and a dance has been arranged for the weekend of the Cornell game.
