This month's chronicle of happenings forms a dreary succession of games, and now that the good editors of this MAGAZINE have decided that the Winter Sports team merits a section all by itself, there is nothing left for this department to gloat over. Well, baseball will soon be here.
But I should like to trespass a bit, and give a little boost to two swell freshmen who gave us a real thrill during Carnival. They were Lawrence Goldthwait and Henry S. Woods, who is called Bim. It is a sincere tribute to Coach Otto Schniebs that he keeps his teams alive with new vitality, and as championships come and go in this virile branch of sport, new faces are forever appearing.
Young Goldthwait battled the great Jack Shea in the speed skating events, and young Woods actually outjumped New Hampshire's Eddie Blood, Olympic team member. So the four-year trail has started for this pair of Hanover boys, and there must be some glory ahead.
