Waldo White writes (April 7): "WithMrs. White I have just returned from atrip to the West Indies and South America,and across the Isthmus."

Dr. Eastman spent the winter near Desbarats, his summer home in Canada. At 75 he retains his vigor, walking eight miles a day, keeping his youth, as he expressed it, in cold storage. In one of the winter blizzards he drove many miles with a friend to fish through a hole in the ice. Messrs. Knight and Howland please note.
