The Dartmouth Outing Club of Boston is getting into the class of the seasoned and time-tested institutions We are beginning our fifth fiscal year this fall. Naturally, all forces are hard at work to make it a most successful one. At the time of going to press the official meeting of the new officers has not taken place. Therefore we cannot tell of all of our plans but will mention those that are sure of adoption. Most important among the fall trips will be one to Moosilauke, the Ravine Camp and Jobildunk. It should acquaint a large number of our members with the wonderful property of the Alumni Outing Club and will be an eye-opener to previous visitors, because we understand that things have been humming up that way, all through vacations.

Other hikes are planned into our near-by hunting grounds, the Monadnock region. Throughout the fall there will be a number of Sunday afternoon smoke-talks. These have been successful during the past two seasons. Various cabin feeds are scheduled for the immediate future. In addition to certain class feeds, the Club will be host to the Dartmouth men at M. I. T., and the Harvard Medicine, Law and Business Schools.

An interesting innovation in our membership work has been planned for the coming year. Each new member who joins the D.O.C. of Boston will have an old member, who is experienced in the ways of the Groton cabin, assigned to him as a "nurse" or guide. We think, this will be helpful in further extending our active membership.

The fiscal year, which draws to a close, has seen great improvement along various lines. Membership of the alumni one to ten years out of college has further increased, the finances have been well handled and are in sound condition, the use of the cabin has continued to boom with weekly visitors averaging well over thirty through the entire year.
