ONLY IDAHO, MISSISSIPPI and Utah are missing from the roster of states having native sons on the Dartmouth campus this college year, according to the College Directory compiled by the Registrar's office. In addition to 45 states, the District of Columbia and the Territory of Hawaii, 18 foreign countries are represented in the present student body of 2,961 men only 40 less than last year's record breaking 3.001.
New York replaces Massachusetts at the top of the list with 621 students as compared with 554 from the Bay State. Other states having more than 100 students on the Hanover plain are New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio in that order.
Of the associated schools, Tuck with 169 has the largest enrollment. There are 93 at the Medical School; 44 at Thayer; and 23 at Tuck-Thayer.
