As no news of any sort has come into our hands during these summer months, we consequently have none to pass on to you. No weddings, births, or burials have been reported, so we can consider that the class strength maintains an even level for the 1934-35 season, but hope that some added enthusiasm and interest in class and college affairs will be evidenced—as judged by larger attendance at the various class gatherings, more news to your Secretary about yourself and others, and better financial support. Remember that Five Dollars to Don Brooks puts you on the Active Class Roll, which will bring you the ALUMNI MAGAZINE nine months of the year and help to lessen the reunion tax in 1937. What is more, you will be considered in this Active Group if you will simply write Don or myself that you wish to be so classified, even if you cannot afford the five dollars. In other words, showing interest in class affairs is really the criterion by which you are judged—but the five dollars (or some part of it) would certainly be welcome.
When these notes are published the football season will have been well started, and the Harvard and Yale games will not be far ahead. The Boston crowd will plan the annual Friday night class dinner, which was so successful last year, and after the Yale game remember that Bob Scott has open house and last year about two dozen Seventeeners enjoyed his hospitality in good campus fashion. He assures me that you are all expected this year, and the bigger the crowd, the better he likes it New addresses received from the College follow:
