The listing of all major games, with no set-ups, for Yale this fall was prophesied as a "suicide schedule." In mid-November it was being hailed as a fine arrangement, one that had unified the Yale alumni body and had taught football to the Yale squad in no uncertain manner. Letters from Charley Stickney '21 suggest that Dartmouth had better remove the easy games from the early season schedule if Green teams are to be expected to blossom forth in full flower against her traditional opponents. The same sentiment was expressed at the football smoker held at the Dartmouth Club in New York on November 2. It was then, also, that Josh Davis '27 stated that he and Bill Cunningham '20 have buried the hatchet. Their old argument as to which of them is better entitled to undying fame as Dartmouth's "greatest center" is no longer of any interest to anyone "Because," said Josh, "the new sophomore center, Carl Ray, is better than either of us ever were!"

It seems plausible that good early season games would draw crowds to Hanover. Alumni have often proven their keen desire to trek back to the North Country hills even though now they only come up for a look at the team. The question of the final score is only one of how large it will be. We are all for Norwich as the first game of every season. The addition of Brown next fall, to precede the Harvard game, is a move in the right direction. There are many other strong eastern teams, two of which should be invited to play in Hanover in early October.
