Charles B. Scott and family have moved into the Tavern block so that Mr. Scott can be nearer to his business.
Mrs. V. V. Whitney of Plymouth is having electric lights installed in her tenement, also repairs done which was recently occupied by Mrs. D. J. Babineau.
SOUTH ROAD
Well, the frost is holding off very well this year. We have had no frost to kill even cranberry vines as yet.
Mr. Decato the Canaan road agent is doing a fine job on the Potato road from the four corners to the railroad crossing, nice and wide and well ditched out for the water.
John Ginn is cutting his ensilage corn at this writing.
Gertrude Wescott, she that was before marriage, is stopping with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wescott, for a week.
The barn dance that took place at Mr. Whittier's was well attended, being such a stormy night, and there were about 20 couples present. The music was from Plymouth.
Apples will be something of the past this year. I don't think there is a barrel of apples on this hill take them altogether. I don't know what we will do for juice.
Miss Josephine Bollea is at Albert Dickerson's at Norwich, Vt„ and attending high school.
Mrs. Ella Morse is confined to her home this week on account of being ill.
Dennis LaCoss of Rudsboro is filling his silo.
Mrs. Hattie Whitcomb has gone to Hanover to keep house for a man by the name of Gould.
Tom Barber of Haverhill is using his new rubber tired tractor for power 'You can feed her plenty" says Tom, "and she never hesitates."
