The Athletic Council has recognized four new College track records in the high jump, pole vault, discus, and 16-pound shot. The high-jump mark was set by Steve Woodbury at 6 feet 514 inches in the Triangular Meet at Boston on March 10. In the pole vault, Dick Brister set a new record of 13 feet 3 inches during the University Club meet in Boston, and in the shot-put Tony Gen:awicz, freshman from Lynn, Mass., cleared a distance of 49 feet inches in the pre season meet between the freshman and varsity teams. The discus record of '36 feet 81/2 inches was created by Bob Lee 31 during the 1929 outdoor season.
