We are writing this two days before the Hanover Christmas exodus and, in view of our personal problems of finishing papers in the midst of the last minute rush and looking for another passenger to ride with us to Texas, it is not to our displeasure that the Editor's general policy of retrenchment calls for a shorter "Undergraduate Chair" in this issue. The feeling of restlessness prevalent a week ago has now changed to one of exuberant activity as undergraduates prepare to scatter to some 45 states for the holidays. Men with unlimited cuts and those having travelling time are already departing while others wishing to leave early have been trying the usual divers methods (with few exceptions unsuccessful) to be excused from their last class. More than ever seem to be going by automobile—to Missouri, Wisconsin, Florida, and other points equally far distant. A larger group, principally residents of California, are also found going by air.
