The gold medal awarded annually by the Federation Interalliee des AnciensCombattants to the American college outstanding in the promotion of international understanding has been voted to Dartmouth College for 1935, it was announced on September 5 from the American Legion headquarters in Indianapolis. The award was made at the meeting of the FIDAC in Brussels on the same day.

In selecting the winner of its gold medal, the Federation took into consideration such things as the number of courses dealing with the international field, the number of students enrolled in such courses, foreign scholars on the faculty, facilities for students to study abroad and receive college credit, foreign students enrolled in college, special efforts to study Far Eastern affairs, and participation in conferences on international affairs.
